Submissions are now open for the Fall 2024 Issue of Common House Magazine!

We accept short fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, scripts, personal essays, reviews, visual art, photography and multimedia art from both uOttawa students and members of the broader community! For more information concerning our submission guidelines, click here.

Call For Junior Editors! | Sep. 2, 2024
Applications are open for those interested in becoming Junior Editors for the Fall 2024/Winter 2025 terms. Junior editors will have the opportunity to read submissions and assist in selecting the content for each issue. We meet bi-monthly to discuss and review incoming submissions. Typically the reviewing process takes 1–2 hours a week. Whether you have previous experience or not, if you are passionate about the contemporary literature scene, we would love to hear from you!

Eligible parties include current undergraduate students at the University of Ottawa enrolled in a Honours BA, Major, Minor, Microprogram, and/or Certificate in one or more of the following programs of study: English, Creative Writing, Professional Writing, and/or Professional Editing.
