Common House is the product of so many people’s work over this past year. A special thank you to Haya Sonawala for taking the initiative to start this whole project, Véronik Le Duc for her commitment to getting us through the summer months, Rebecca Lortie for her design work, our professors Kagiso Lesego Molope, Robert Stacey, and Kimberly Quiogue Andrews for their endless enthusiasm and support, and most of all, our fellow students and local community members for keeping us motivated with their excitement.

 

I am so proud of our team and our contributors for bringing this idea to life, and I can’t wait to see where the new year takes us. I hope you enjoy reading our first issue as much as we enjoyed creating it.
